The #2 highest-selling category by volume is CDs in the Music category. But, this doesn’t mean that every CD sells well. I used DeepAnalysis to find a product that would sells well, and then went a step beyond to find out how to do better than the average seller.

AC/DC CDs sell around 73% of the time. But we want to do better than that, right? According to HammerTap, regular auctions, without Buy It Now sell 83% of the time, while regular auctions with Buy It Now increase the sales price by $3. Then, AC/DC auctions ending on a Saturday not only sold 93% of the time, but they also had the best sales price!

Over the last few weeks, I’ve told you about the top ten volume-selling categories on eBay. Now, I’d like to tell you some of the hottest-selling products in those categories. DVD in DVDs and Movies is the top-selling category for volume. I used HammerTap to discover which DVDs are hottest.

Here’s what I found. Overall, DVDs containing TV series sell best. For example, the Smallville series is selling 81% of the time, on average. The Sopranos complete seasons sells 86% of the time. And Charmed sells about 81% of the time.

My advice to you is to research TV series you can get your hands on and see which ones will turn a profit for you.
